What Sentence Echo does
Sentence Echo is a Chrome extension that works on supported YouTube watch pages. It reads the current video's captions, divides them into natural sentences, and plays an AI-generated spoken interpretation in the language selected by the user.
Data-use notice. Google account email and identifier, access-request status, the current YouTube video identifier, caption information, language and voice choices, and sentence/playback request context are processed to review access and provide and secure the feature. New accounts require publisher approval or a private expiring access code. The verified email may be used for access-request and approval status notices. Captions and translations needed for sentence organization, translation, and speech generation are sent to Google AI models. The request IP address is used in running server memory for unauthenticated sign-in and session rate limiting; it is not used to infer location or written to persistent access logs. Tab and microphone audio are not collected. See the Privacy Policy before using the extension.
User controlled
Processing remains blocked until the disclosure is accepted and Google sign-in is complete. The extension uses caption text and does not collect tab audio.
Limited use
User data is not sold or used for advertising.
